Guideline Calculation
2019 UPDATE TO GUIDELINE CALCULATION
As of January 1, 2019, the basic guideline calculation still applies in Colorado. However, given the change in the U.S. tax code (payments are no longer tax deductible by the payor and are no longer taxable to the recipient), the Colorado Legislature enacted an adjustment calculation which reduces the guideline calculation amount by 20% for those couples with a combined annual income of under $100,000 and a 25% reduction for those couples whose combined annual income exceeds $100,000.
