Fort Collins Mediation Attorney

Why Mediation?  Mediation is a low cost, less stressful way to resolve your differences and move forward with your life.

Rather than both parties hiring an attorney, which costs several thousand each, the cost of a single mediator is generally shared between the parties.  The Mediator works with both parties to address, and work through all aspects of the divorce, including asset division, debt division, child support, parenting time, and spousal support.  In mediation, you are not forced to accept the order that a judge will typically issue in litigation.  You have the power to design an agreement that works well for all parties, including the children, making the final results easier to live with, and all parties happier with the outcome.

Litigating a divorce can be quite time consuming, taking several months to more than a year to obtain your final Decree and Order.  Mediation can take as few as 2-3 appointments to work through all issues.  The mediator then prepares the paperwork for you to file with the Court, allowing your divorce to become final as soon as the 90 day waiting period expires.

Regardless of the complexity of the issues, mediation is an excellent way for you come to an agreement, remain in control of the outcome, and get on with your life.
